Zimbabwe part II

hey gang...

gotta say of all the posts i have put up, this is the one that has stimulated a lot of debate, a lot of it off the record though but its been educational and fun. well the next installment begins...

Part 1 was a history lesson, this will focus more on the present to the future.

There is a new generation of leader emerging in Zimbabwe. This is the first Zimbabwe generation, the children born in a free Zimbabwe where all were equal, the "born free". those of us lucky enough to reap the benefits of the sacrifice of countless lives laid down in service for an ideal have an obligation to honour their lives by building what they dreamt it could be. being born free i was raised in multi-cultural zimbabwe. went to school with people of all races, had friends of all creeds etc etc. and its in this generation that all hope lies, growing up together, shared similar experiences.. have similar hopes and aspirations, and on that a nation can be built. The problem is my situation is the exeption to the rule... if more people had grown up in multi-cultural environs people would fear and mistrust each other less.

My answer to all the problems... lets not shell ourselves into our environments and cultures but step out and learn about our neighbours and build relationships with them and from there we can build a nation. Zimbabwe is a generic term replaceable by South Africa and Namibia etc etc.
